– GOOD TO KNOW

● ByStellaM cannot accept responsibility for the finished item if any yarn other than the recommended yarn is used.
● Yarn quantities are based on average requirements and are therefore approximate.
● Color reproduction is as close as color accuracy on screens.
● Instructions are written using US terminology
● Repeat figures in round brackets ( ) the number of times stated afterwards.
● Instructions are given for the smallest size, with changes for the larger sizes given in square brackets [ ] afterwards.
● Where only one figure is given, this relates to all sizes.
● Where the figure 0 appears, no stitches, times or rows are worked for this size.
● Total amount of rows/rounds is given between [ ] at the end of each row/round in the pattern
● This pattern in particular is worked in spiral rounds, which means that the last st of the round will not be in the same level with the first st of this round.

– TENSION (GAUGE)

10 stitches and 10 rows measured over 10 cm, 4 in of single crochet, using a 5.5 mm hook needed to obtain correct tension (gauge).
It is vitally important to check your tension (gauge) before starting as working to the wrong tension (gauge) will mean your garment will not be the size shown and could result in yarn being left over, or more yarn being required. Before beginning, crochet a tension (gauge) swatch at least 13 cm, 5 in, square and measure your tension (gauge). If there are more stitches and rows than stated, try again using thicker hook. If there are fewer stitches and rows than stated, try again using thinner hook.

3. Make Pom Poms and Sew the panels together.

Place the 2 crocheted pieces on top of each other, both RS facing out. With a tapestry needle and the same yarn used for the pillow sew the 2 pieces inserting the needle into each st one by one of each piece. Stop sewing half way and insert you round cushion with filling than continue sewing till both pieces have no more st left. Take the thinner yarn and place it over your 4 fingers approximately 9 cm / 3.5 in and roll over the yarn approximately 150 times. Than cut the yarn, take out of your 4 finger the yarn rolled.

Place it over a long strand of yarn and tie the long yarn in the center of the rolled yarn. Tie very tight and than cut the sides of the pom pom till all folded yarn is cut. Be careful to not cut the long pieces of yarn used for the tying as you will need them for the placing on the pillow.Trim the pom pom till you think its the right size and shape. Make 16 pom poms.

Place the pom pom at the side of the pillow, where you made the sewing. Insert the hook and pull one side of the long strand than insert the hook on the other side and pull the other strand, tie the 2 strands tight and cut the excess yarn. Follow for all the pom poms all around the pillow.

ENJOY YOUR FLUFFY CROCHET PILLOW 🙂
