– 4th Row-17th [17,17,19] Row

– 18th[18,18,20] Row (starts on the closed HDC side)

47 [50.51,53] closed HDC tbl, 7 [7,8,9] sl st(s) tbl.

crochet sweater

This is the shoulder side of the front panel which in total will have 9[9,9,10] ribbings and your yarn will be on the sl st side of the panel. From now on we start to decrease 1 st per 2 rows on the HDC side of the pattern, until we have 6 st(s) less.

So the pattern will be as below:

– 19th [19,19,21] Row (starts on the sl st side)

7 [7,8,9] sl st(s) tbl, 46 [49,50,52] closed HDC tbl.

crochet sweater

Leave the last st without crocheting than start the 20th [20,20,22] row.

crochet sweater

– 20th [20,20,22] Row (starts on the HDC side)

1 ch, turn, sk 1st ch from the hook, 46 [49,50,52] closed HDC tbl, 7 [7,8,9] sl st(s) tbl.

crochet sweater

– 21st [21,21,23]Row-30th [30,30,32]Row

Repeat (ROW19,ROW20) 5 more times. Each time crocheting 1 less closed HDC tbl on the uneven row. The 30th [30,30,32] Row will have 41 [44,45,47] closed HDC tbl st(s) and 7 [7,8,9] sl st(s) tbl.

crochet sweater

Now the pattern for the other half of the front panel, is the same as the first half, just that on this side we increase 1 closed HDC st every 2 rows.

So for the 31st [31,31,33] Row we will have the pattern:

1 ch, sk 1ch, 7 [7,8,9] sl st(s), 41 [44,45,47] closed HDC st(s),2 ch.

crochet sweater

– 32nd [32,32,34] Row

sk 1st ch from the hook, crochet a closed HDC st on the 2nd st from the hook.

crochet sweater

crochet sweater

Than 41 [44,45,47] closed HDC st(s) tbl, 7 [7,8,9] sl st(s) tbl to the end of the row.

crochet sweater

– 33rd [33,33,35]Row-42nd [42,42,44]Row

Repeat (ROW31,ROW32) 5 more times, each uneven row adding 2 ch st(s) at the HDC side and each even row crocheting 1 closed HDC more. The 42nd [42,42,44] Row will end on the sl st side of the panel. At the 42nd [42,42,44] Row we have achieved again 47 [50,51,53] closed HDC st(s) as when we started the panel.

crochet sweater

– 43rd [43,43,45] Row-58th [58,58,62]Row

Repeat (ROW3,ROW2,) 8 [8,8,9] more times, ending at the sl st side of the pattern.

Than repeat ROW 3 (7 [7,8,9]sl st(s) tbl,47 [50,51,53]closed HDC tbl) one more time to end up the panel on the HDC side of the panel.

crochet sweater

At the picture below i noted the ribbings on each side of both shoulders, the ends of the yarns, also the ribbings of the increase and decrease sides of the panel.Like this you can have a more visual idea on how the pattern should look like at the end.

crochet sweater

— The Sleeves

Make 2 of them. For S-XL size same sleeve pattern.

– For the sleeves i started with 63 ch st(s).

crochet sweater

– 1st ROW (starts on the sl st side )

sk 1 ch, 7 sl st(s) than on the 8th ch crochet closed HDC st. Continue crocheting 55 closed HDC st in total to the end of the row.

crochet sweater

– 2nd Row (starts on the HDC side)

1 ch, turn your work, sk 1st ch from the hook than crochet closed HDC tbl.

crochet sweater

Continue crocheting 55 closed HDC st(s) in total. Than switch to sl st. Crochet 7 sl st(s) to the end of the row.

crochet sweater

– 3rd Row (starts on the sl st side)

1ch, sk 1st st, 7 sl st(s) tbl, 55 closed HDC st(s) tbl.

1 ch, turn your work, sk 1st ch from the hook, sl st on the 2nd st from the hook. Continue crocheting 7 sl st(s) in total.

crochet sweater

Than on the 8th st switch to closed HDC.Continue crocheting 55 closed HDC st(s) in total to the end of the row.

crochet sweater

– 4th Row-39th Row

Repeat (ROW2,ROW3) 18 more times. You will end up on the sl st side of the pattern.

– 40th Row

To bring the yarn on the HDC side of the pattern crochet the pattern of ROW2 one more time.

crochet sweatercrochet sweater

Here i leave you a picture with more details so you can have a more visual idea of the sleeve pattern.

crochet sweater

In total i had 4 panel. 1 Front, 1 Back and 2 sleeve panels.

crochet sweater

3.Sew the panels.

Once the panels are finished, start to sew the sleeves panel as in the video tutorial .

Fold them in half and sew the edges.

crochet sweater

After sewing the sleeves, place the back and front panel so the qty of the ribbings on shoulder areas match. Sew the shoulders and sides, leaving 2 open spaces for the sleeves.

crochet sweater

Here is a clearer picture with all the details of the places where to sew.

crochet sweater

4.Crochet and sew the collar.

Neck shaping is the same for all sizes. Once the bodice is sewed than start to crochet the neck area. Starting from the center ribbing of the back panel, pull a loop, being careful to not loose the end, than crochet 13 ch st.

– 1st ROW (starts at the free end of the neck panel)

Sk the 1st ch from the hook and crochet sl st on the next ch. Crochet sl st until you arrive at the back panel,in total 12 sl st(s). To connect the neck border with the bodice, we need to crochet on each space between 2 ribbing patterns and also on each ribbing pattern. So once back at the back panel, insert the hook on the space between 2 ribbings and sl st.

crochet sweater

– 2nd Row (starts at the back panel end of the neck panel)

Turn your work, sk the 1st st from the hook and crochet sl st on the next one. Continue crocheting sl st(s) until you arrive at the free end of the neck border, in total 12 sl st(s).

– 3rd Row – back at the point we started.

Moreover, keep repeating the pattern of the 1st Row than 2nd Row, until you are back to the place you started.

crochet sweater

Consequently after the crochet of the neck panel is finished start sewing as shown in the video tutorial which you saw at the beginning of this pattern. Furthermore you can see in the picture below the right position , where to sew the collar.
